Suspension "clunk"

Hey everyone. Thanks in advance for any advice. I have a 79 Scout II, 345 v8. Stock with the exception of a Rough Country 4 inch lift (and of course 33 inch tires). For about the last 8 years maybe, there is "clunk" sound that comes from somewhere in the rear when I go over even little things such as railroad tracks or speed bumps. I'm wondering if it May be that my body mounts are bad? Possibly a transmission mount problem (though that was replaced when I had the trany rebuilt)? Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful...

Also, any hints anyone has learned from installing a single steering stabilization kit would be appreciated as well. I just ordered the Rough Country one from the IHOnly red and black sale..thank you IH Parts America - it shipped the day after I ordered!

Also, the shock bolts are torqued tight enough; and, there are no loose shock mounts... If the shock bolts are not torqued, the shock mount hole will be "ovaled out" over time - especially with gas shocks.

Then,

spring bushings, shackles, mounts, bolts...

Body bushings, mounts, bolts

"loose" frame cross members

aftermarket/ stock swing-away rear spare tire carrier if you have one

wag - driveshaft slip joint

I had a similar problem that every bump I hit I could hear clunking on the right side. It turned out the last exhaust hangar broke and the tail pipe was hitting the rear spring. I'm stock height though.
