1978 Scout II under restoration. Replaced the steering column rag joint as well as dropped and remounted the steering column.
However, the plastic column collar that is mounted to the dash does not go as high up onto the column (to the curved bezel) as I remember it being at the being of the project. Or put the other way, the column isn't going down as far as I remember.
Suggestions on remedy? I've loosened the bracket and clamps at the firewall.
