I recently installed a tilt column in my Scout 2. I took it part way down and cleaned and re-greased everything. I didn't break the knuckle down though. Problem is the ball knuckle on the pivot looks to be rubbing on the tilt spring. Anybody know how to fix this? The rub is only on one part of the knuckle, and not tied into the power steering pump it's a noticeable "bump". Is it the upper bearing possibly worn out, or what? If I knew what size column would mate up I'd stick an ididit column in and be done with it. Got a lot of work to do yet, but the steerings got to be rite first.
