spring over on a model 80

[Early Scout]

For those of you who are on the fence about what to do about lifting your model 80 or 800.... I found this spring over axle lift to be super easy and it didn't cost me a dime.

I used all the existing hardware, although I would highly recommend buying all new u-bolts and u-bolt plates, a nice drop down pitman arm, and a new drop down brake line to anyone who was doing this lift. I was just on a super tight budget so I used what I had.

What about your drive lines? I have been told that they will need to be extended> but yours didnt?

If you click on the facebook link above the photo you can see in more detail that I did have to lengthen the front drive shaft...

Even in the photo here you can see that the u-joint doesn't quite reach the yoke... By about 3 inches I think...
