The pads I bought for my Dana 44 disc brakes came with some small spring clips (I think). They were not present in the old set-up I took off the axle. Where do they go?

They go on the bottom tab on the inboard pad to hold it up, the little tab goes between the ears on the tab and the part sticking out must go inside of the slot on the caliper bracket, not hooked on the back side, it can be seen in the photo kind of between the casting # on the caliper bracket and the keeper key.
