Special Editions

So I've been doing some browsing and looking for my next project so I figured I'd try and do up a regular Scout to be one of the special edition ones. So far I know of the red carpet, aristocrat, sr2, comache, the spirit and patriot editions. I have also seen different ones like the midas edition and a really weird one called the python edition (it was a schnazzed up aftermarket Scout 800). Are there any other special editions? If so, is there any way for me to get a list of what all they had on them?

Doubt it... Best bet would be to contact the wisconsin historical society. "they" are the repository of IH vehicle material. There May be a charge for doing reference work -- looking up / finding / copying what they might have...

Second would be to go to the IH nationals in springfield, oh -- people in the east are much more interested in restoring vehicles to stock... Than people in the west.

Third would be to search IH forums for people who have posted pictures of their "special editions"...

The "special editions" mostly were "special" paint colors -- exterior and possibly interior. Also, included more "plush" interiors; chrome luggage rack on aristocrats; specific fabrics (midas); specific graphics (either painted or decals)...

One difficulty (though not impossible) would be finding the stock interior fabric for a given "special edition" for those with interior specific fabrics / colors... I think some of the "decal sets" are being remade back east...

Might be easier to start with a "special edition"...
