Will need an ra#..I have been thru heck on the windshield gasket..several installers all wanting to cut the gasket (bitching at me to boot) and me being 1 guy just cannot get it worked in..ive tried everything and even got close once but the gasket was so bunched up in the corners I never could have laced it properly...I just do not understand the extra 6 inches..3 extra inches and we do it at home guys could have gotten this product installed..sorry guys but the wibdshield gasket needs to be sent back for a refund

ps:ill try not to bug you as much and just so you know everything else I bought from you guys has been perfect with no install snafu's..you guys still rock (Bilstein shocks are wonderful)
 
I have given this another chance but its the same old story.."cut the gasket"..I've had it so I will call this week for the ra#...I think it would work but nobody wants to put in the effort and I am just too frustrated to do it myself..
 
Again you will need to call to make arrangements for a return. Keep in mind the product itself must still be in new like condition. If it is all beat up from the many attempts to install it then a return May not be an option. We have sold many of these windshield seals thru the years and installed them and only once did we come across one that was simply too long(mispackaged seal).
 
I also have sold and installed many of these seals myself.
No problem with installation at all.
And never a complaint!
I have been using my glass guy to do the installs for me lately and he can whip it out in as little as 15-20 min. If everything is prepped.
Just had a customer come in with the same problem, except he took it to another shop which actually and adamantly replied (we have to cut it to fit).
Well... After install,the owner went for a long drive and endured some heavy driving rain at one point, leaking enough that he and his passenger got wet legs.
He brought it to me, we installed a new seal, (uncut) all good, done deal.

He was very happy!

You need to find a shop such as ours, Isa's IH / ihon that have the experience and know how to install a simple product .

If anybody says you have to cut it, I would not let them.
I would go somewhere else.
