Single to Double MC

My 66 t'ette originally had the single mc for both the clutch and brakes. I purchased a pedal setup and mounting plate for the 2 mc setup, but find they will not fit between the rails under the dash. :icon_cry:

is it possible to make the conversion to 2 separate master cylinders from the single without a bunch of work? Doesn't look like it, but thought I would ask.

Hello lyle,
assuming you have the dual mc setup from a 67-68 round body?

Can you swap out the hardware under the dash from a 67-68 and make it fit? Would seem that IH would have taken the easier route and mad small parts to fit the upgrade. It is to bad that you didn't post this before when I have the 64 t-all along side my 68 t-ette. I May have been more helpful then..
I don't have access to the 68 or I'd look for you and see if there is a better way to do the install.

Hi Robert,

I have everthing except the under dash hardware; the pedals, the mc mouting plate and even the old mcs.

I had pretty much decided to use the single mc system as it is before I posted the question; seemed to be the most logical and easiest route to take. I will make sure the rest of the brake/clutch system is in top condition.
