Side gear thrust washer ??'s

Problem - installing an aussie locker in a rear 77 d44 open carrier. The tolerances are too tight. The separation between the two halves is suppose to be .145-.170, I am at about .128. Checked with tech support and as long as it will pass the spin test I should be ok.

Here is my question. My side gear thrust washers were trashed, on one the inside and outside separated and came off in two pieces. I scored two new ones from a Jeep rebuilder, the fsj uses the same inner diameter (a project in itself). Are there different thicknesses?
