I have a 71 sii / 810 in which the suspension was shot. I replaced the body bushings and added a 1" body lift. No biggie... I replaced the old leaf springs with alcan 3" lift and IHOnly 5" shackles / and more. It looks awesome! I roll it out of the garage and fire her up. I put it into gear and went no where fast? After a few words with her, I roll hear back in.
I did't think a 1" body lift with new bushings could cause this problem due to the minimal lift, but here I am. The old body bushings were minimal to say the least... So after the bushing and body lift I ended up with a 2 1/2 or so lift. Do I need to lengthen the clutch rod? If so how much? Also, I found that the inner nylon bushings for the z bar were shot as well. Can anyone tell me where I can find them?
Thanks for the help... Alex
