shackle bushing

77 Traveler

New member
I have a 1977 IH traveler with a 345, t19 transmission, and Dana 20 transfer case. I recently bought a 4in superlift kit, but it didn't come with the frame shackle bushings. Are these bushings the same as the leaf spring bushing or are they a different size?

Another question in regards to scouts, is the shocks the same for a Scout II and a Scout traveler? Looking up parts some places on offer the shocks for the Scout II other places have the same part number for both.

There are not that many IH vehicles on the road; hence, there is not that many different shocks offered (not like IH originally offered). No demand...

So, besides off the shelf, you have custom / special valved shocks (expensive).

In between those two "extremes", there are shocks made by Bilstein /etc.

Jeff (ihon) probably could find a set of bilsteins (5100 or ???) that would work well with your lift / how you intend to use the vehicle

Scout II, terra and traveler all use the same suspension components both front and rear.

This has been a lot of help on my project. I just need to hit a junk yard and pick up a good front driver side leaf shackle plate. The one on my Scout is way wobbled out where the shock bolts up.
