Having a crawler with no top, no doors, no windshield and no heater might be fun in the summer. But the winter can get a bit chilly. So I decided to put some seat heaters in it. :d I bought some kits from my upholstery guy. I'm not sure how much difference it will make. But we will see.
Here is how they go in. It's a pretty easy process. Maybe my rallye Scout needs them next.
first you pull the seat out of the rig.
Then you pull the cover from the seat.
The kit comes with a heater for the bottom of the seat and one for the back. As well as all the wiring a fuse and the switch.
The heating elements have peel and stick tape to hold them to the foam.
You then run the wires out the bottom of the seat and replace the cover.
Next step is to install the switches and wire them up. The kits I got came with everthing I needed. Including a 7.5 amp fuse for each seat. It was pretty nice not to have to run to the hardware store mid way through the install.
Repeat that on the other seat and........thats it!!
Now you should have hot buns! :d
