Can anyone tell me the difference between the ht-855a & ht-855b lifters for our sv engines? Thx-Jeff ( there's like a $.50 diff in price ea.) well,I found out the diff. Ht-855 or ht-855a are sold in sets of 16 lifters. Ht-855b are sold in large quantities - Jeff

I would ask the vendor who you are willing to give your money to. Only one hydraulic lifter style ever made for these IH's. Other then manufacturing techniques they are the same. Probably the crate quantity. It is a common practice to alter the part number to indicate the packaging.
