Scout II Suspension/Wheel/Tire Question

'72 Scout II 4x4, stock springs, 15" wheels, 31 tires.

I am desperate to put on new tires. The suspension is also probably original and very, very flat and saggy.

This car is a daily driver, unfortunately 95% on inner-city pavement.

I would like a little beefier look. I am thinking of a 2.5" suspension lift with 16" wheels and larger tires.

Can anyone recommend a tire size that would work with this and not hit the sheet metal.

Any other thoughts about a 2.5" suspension lift etc would be very grateful!!
Cheers,
Mike

I'm running 11.5 x 32 hankook dynapro mts on 15 x 10 inch rims, and they hit in the back inside of the rear fender wells. They are big for 32s. Have about a 4" lift. They only hit when flexing pretty hard off road - never on the street. Your 10.5 x 31s will hit in the same spot if you get it offroad, usually on steep sharp uphill turns.
