Scout II steering after axle swap

I finally got a d44 axle on my 72, put brand new axles, rings pinions, etc, only thing original was housing and spider gears.
I had the 44 cut and turn before installation, to keep the angles true, because of my lift. It used to turn on a dime with the older 30 axle, and it still turns pretty tight, but definitely a difference, when cutting a sharp turn it seems to hit a stopping point..
The tires are not rubbing, what could be the issue?
Thanks

From my own experience, there has been an adjustment bolt(and I have seen two bolts on each knuckle) on the inside of the steering knuckle that hits the c (that's welded onto the axle tube) when you steer lock to lock. That adjustment bolt is basically to prevent the tires from rubbing when steering lock to lock. I could try and find a photo if need be. I might take one of the front end that I have on the bench.
