So I purchased new floor pans for my 74 Scout II, I am wondering what is the best way to fit them up?
Should I make a butt weld on the long seam? I have a guy to tig it and he is a great welder. I know the fit up would be critical to make the butt weld. Any thought here?
I have the passenger side cut out already, and I left about 4" from the original seam.(front to back)
I figure we would spot weld the rest of the pan down to the existing body as it was originally installed.
I also bought some weld thru primer to spray on before we weld.
Any feedback is appreciated.
