◾️ I have:
▪️75 Scout II
▪️304
▪️holy distributor with electronic ignition
▪️holy gold
▪️ stock wiring configuration

🔺 installing a pertronix ignitor part # ho-181 (not ignitor II or iii)

🔷 I don't understand how to wire up the pertronix electronic ignition. I know that the pertronix black wire goes to the negative and the red wire goes to the positive on the coil; however, I do not know if my Scout II 304 has a ballast resistor.

➕ I have three wires coming of the positive side of the coil.
1. Wire going to the condensor mounted on top the coil.
2. Ignition wire going to fire wall
3. Red wire coming from the pertronix electronic ignition

➖ I have one wire on negative side of coil
1. Black pertronix wire.

If I do not have a ballast resistor, is the above configuration correct?

Does a 75 International 304 Scout II come with a ballast resistor from the factory? If yes where is it located?

The pertronix instructions states:
"remove a resistance wire, trace the coil power wire, which was previously connected to the positive coil terminal, back to the fuse block. Bypass this wire with a 12-gauge copper stranded wire."

what is the resistance wire?
What does it mean by bypassing the resistance wire?

Thanks,
richard
