Story Time:
This Vehicle has been in my family since it came off the dealership lot- I'm posting this for my Father by the way, it's all original and has no new add-ons or additions period. Back in January we got this gifted to us by my uncle (his brother) and we were going to try little by little to work on it, fix it up for my younger sister. However, in February my Father suffered a heart attack and had to have to stints put into his heart. He's not been the same since and the idea of fixing up this gem, coupled with the slew of medications he's now on, while still working as a Teacher and Cross Country Track coach at the local Academy have pretty much rendered his vision and mine obsolete.
We've done a bit of "tear down" on it, I say tear down, I mean we took the fenders off and the old original tires off. That happened, and then the heart attack came. My father is the only member of our household that has a job at the moment. And I've tried my best to get work around here, but it's difficult honestly- the remaining amount of savings I did have was given to he and my mother to help keep afloat.
At any rate, we persist on and "stay thankful" as he always says, "For a roof, some food, a bed and waking up."
He put an add out in the local threads on Facebook to see if anyone would be interested in buying it as a project and we've had no success. I just joined this group today, July 13, 2021 in hopes that someone out there might want to purchase it and help my family out financially.
It really hits hard because we truly wanted to keep the vehicle in the family so that my little sister could drive it - the way we boys learned to drive on an old stick shift, in a FJ40 on the backroads outside of town. However, in this climate right now, with the way things are going and just with the mass of bills that keep piling on and on daily I think and he believes too our only option is to see it go to someone with means that can fix it properly and use it. He'd rather someone give it life than it just stay in our garage and see no treads on the road or off road preferably.
What I know of it is this:

Two Gas Tanks
Original Everything including emblems and hubcaps.
With that said all electrical, wheels, axles, tires, struts, drive shaft,
essentially is all rust or worn to much.
Original miles on Original engine I want to say were 30-40K (but not sure)
If someone were to purchase or buy it it would need to be trailered out of here.
I want to say thank you to everyone and I'm not sure if I'm breaking a rule in posting this or doing it right as I've never been on a forum so cut me some slack. As I write this I'm staring at my dad in front of a pile of papers and bills on the table and hoping I can make something work just like he hopes to make something work out for once for us and get ahead of the 8 ball.
To whom ever is interested in it the price is negotiable, but that price was set with the intention of being able to pay off a lot of debt, bills and to try and get ahead.
My father estimates that if we could put about 4K into it, it'd be worth twice or triple that given the rarity and the appeal these vehicles have these days.
At any rate, I appreciate who ever taking the time to read this and if you're interested just give me a shout.
