So im trying to find some rear wheel cylinders for my '62 80, but online there are 2 types and a big price difference. They come with either 1" bore or 7/8" bore. Im not near my Scout or my manual to look it up and the internet has seemed to fail me tonight. Does anyone know what size is the right one? Thanks

Based on the online parts catalogs, it depends on which brakes your 62 80 has.

Either there was a brake equipment change in the 62 model year or there was a "standard" and a "heavy duty" brake option...

Looks like rears drums are either 9" or 11" - so the wheel cylinder should "match" the drum.

Here is the deal on the brake sizes.

11" rear brakes are on the Dana 44 rear axle only
ra-9
ra-23

10" brakes Dana 27.
Ra-4
ra 14

both are tapered type axles where the wheel flange is held on to the drive axle by a large nut along with a key to prevent slipage under extreme conditions. Maybe is you measure the nut size we can id your axle.
In 1962 the Dana 44 was not as common but still a possibility. You need to find out which you have.
