scout 80 lift

I'm currently working on a 65 Scout 80. I'm swapping Dana 44's for the Dana 27's it comes with. If I keep it SUA will I be able to put 33's? The Scout came with fj40 leaf springs. The biggest tires I ever plan to put are 33's. The reason I plan to keep SUA is to avoid the hassle of dealing with the front axle perch that is casted on the housing.

how much lift do the fj springs give you?

I put alcan 4 inch springs on my 65, and I am running 31's. I don't think that 33's would be a problem. Also, I am still SUA.

Wow, it's been a long time, probably 10 years, since I did the springs, but if I remember correctly, they were about $800 shipped to my door.

Get on jeepform.com and see if you can find some one selling leaf springs. I found some one who took their springs off a tj. I paid 50 bucks for all four.
