1) vehicle model. Scout 80
2) production date/or year model. 1965
3) two wheel drive or four wheel drive. 4wd
4) type of transmission (and transfer case if applicable). unsure, three speed with double stick transfer case.
5) if 4x4, which axles front and rear. Dana 27 and dana 30 according to PO, unconfirmed
6) which engine variation. 152
7) which ignition system variation. Delco
8) which fuel system variation. Duel fuel/vaccum (carter) Currently electric fuel pump bypass
9) which brake system variation. Unsure but I have what I believe is a lockheed front drum set-up from someone who swapped to disc. Brakes not functioning right now, haven't taken anything apart yet
10) non-oem modifications present which May impact a response. unsure
I have a new to me Scout 80 and it runs but has no brakes. I am gathering parts to fix the brakes and noticed that there are two different front brake line routings present. One, which is disconnected, would have routed to the inner fender with the hard line and then had a flex line to the wheel cylinders and the second, which is connected, has a hard line from the junction that goes to a flex line to the "center" of the front differential and has a t, hardlines mounted on the axle that go out to a flex line that goes to each axle. Wondered which is correct. I haven't seen any parts listings that show three flex lines for the front brakes.
here is the line that goes to the front axle
here is the brake line junction with the line that crosses over the firewall to the right side disconnected and plugged at the junction
the line going to the right side
right side brake line going through the inner fender, the flex line on the other side is cut off and just hanging there
flex line hanging
Sorry, not the best pic, here is the line from the axle, which is on the back of the axle, and the flex line goes over the knuckle to the wheel cylinder.
On both sides the flex line is still attached to the inner fender but cut off.
Thanks for any feedback
