Scout 80 Axle swap recomendation

I have a 64 Scout 80 that is running Scout II d44 and d30's with 4:56 gearing. I just dropped a Chevy 350 and trans and wanted to see what axle and gear option would be the best for overall driving and no major off roading?

I heard Chevy axles would be good but not for sure how bad they would stick out on the sides?

Any help would be great
