RPT trans mount

The rpt mount I have seem to be slightly different than what I have seen and heard from others. I have four sets of black poly "pucks" that I am guessing goes above and below the trans crossmember (basically sandwiching the xmember). There are sleeves that fit in the pucks that are larger than the slots currently on the xmember.

I am thinking I should enlarge the slots (still trying to figure out how I would drill a slot shaped hole without a machine shop - maybe I will just drill right at the middle and get lucky!) just large enough to fit the sleeves and call it good. Is this correct?

You do have the correct mount for your application. From time to time we have come across a crossmember that does not have a wide enough slot cut into it. We recommend using a die grinder or dremel tool in order to open up the slots to the point that the metal sleeve can go thru it. If you don't have either of these tools a file can be used. You can try drilling it but be cautious as it will be very easy for the drill bit to snag.
