Roller Skating

I have a 1975 Scout II with a 345 manual tranny with a 3inch lift. When I drive down the street I seriously feel like im driving in a giant roller skate. And what I mean is the right side feels like it goes faster then the left side goes faster then the right, then the left and so on and so on. The po did the lift and added new front shackles. I heard that removing the stock shackles is bad because they built the sway arms into them, is this right? Even so ive owned a Jeep and removed the sway arms and still never felt like this. I know that scouts are nothing like jeeps but still really? I had to install new front bushings on the springs and shackles because they were so blown out and had a gangster lean to it. That helped but still get that effect. Any suggestions? Thank you:thumbsup:

Don't try to compare the suspension on a Scout II with any other vehicle. Each brand has it's own issues regarding performing any sort of suspension changes.

The primary issue regarding the Scout II with a "lift" is achieving the proper front end "caster". That can only be done by twisting the ends of the front axle.

What you have going on right now is a front suspension that has caster that is far worse than what the original product had (which is pretty bad in it's own right). Thus when in motion, the vehicle is hunting over the road surface.

Do some research right here in the forum and you will find the same thing happening over and over, and then find the methodology regarding how to correct the issue.
