Hello all,I am waiting for some parts for my pickup to arrive and was tossing around the idea of a roll cage for my pickup and was wondering if anyone has tried to build a cage for a 70s pickup or know someone who has or any ideas on what type of tubing and size of tubing to use? Maybe thought Mike I. Would possibly know? I know I am going to need one for some of the events I plan on going to next year so I thought I would try to get a jump on it. I dont know where to start as far as what type of bender to use for what type of tubing and so forth so I thought I would see what you all thought about it?
Thanks for any advice, tj
p.s. , I want a cage that bolts to frame , not a show bar.

Not knowing your skill level, if you have never bent tubing I would consider having it done. If you have then whatever you do, please avoid the harbor freight benders. Those are for pipe. You need to use dom. Your truck is heavy so you need to take that into consideration. The cabs on the d series are pretty tight for leg room, I couldn’t imagine having a cage in my 75. You May need to consider going through the cab to tie into the rear frame. Just some thoughts....
