I am currently working on a SOA for my 68' 800 and I'm having difficulties deciding what spring to run up front. I have a Chevy 350 on the stand so I want something that will hold up to the weight. I have considered a 2.5 wide yj leaf with an extra leaf to bump the rate but I'm just not sure.

Just for reference, the IH 4 cylinder engines weigh a bit less than a GM small block.
Imo any 80/800 spec spring will suffice.

Phone alcan spring with some measurements and some weights, they might even have that. Talk to them and they can make you a set of flat leafs that are wider than the originals. By the way, which axles are you using for the SOA? You will have to fab new everything...
I'm gonna run full width 44's since I had them already. As for the new hangers and stuff like that I went with reverse shackle kit. I love the buildup extreme 4x4 did on the 800. Basically trying to mock a little of that build with some of my own ideas. My 800 will be more of a multiple use rig rather than a trail rig.
