Hi

I have removed my hard-top for some minor rust-welding, I need to remove the windows in the back but don't want to break stuff.

It is the model with the metal strip round the window, windows are in one piece, not the sliding type. Metal strip is removed but the window stay firm attached to the hard-top... What is the correct procedure to remove?

Thanx.

If you are referring to the lock bead in the rubber strip, then removal is easy but takes patience.
After removing the lock bead, go around the seal on the inside and outside with a suitable hook tool or nylon window stick to break the 30+ yrs of stuck. Then as you go around again apply a genorous solution of soapy water, the thicker the better, after you have let this sink in for a few, from the inside out starting on the top or bottom, work the inner seal lip out with the hook tool or window stick, do not under any circumstances pry or put any sort of prying force to the edge of the glass, you can push in the middle with your palm not the heel of your hand, with a steady pressure to help force the glass toward the outside. Just remember to work slowly and be patient. This is hard to explain but ive been doin it for 20+years. The rear glass is the same procedure.
