Rear t handle lock will not lock

Happy Sunday! I thought this weekend I would finally tackle putting in my new locks from IHPA since I’ve never been able to lock my scout since purchasing it 4 or so years ago. I got the doors done no problem, but without the key, I had to drill out the rear lock. Upon replacing it with the new cylinder, the t handle will not lock. I’ve seen a couple posts about the handles just breaking, but any chance anyone else has had this issue and any recommendations?

quick thought, are you turning the key enough? it takes a 360 degree turn to lock it

@int77345, thanks for the reply. I’ll check again after I am done work today, but when I originally put the lock in it would only turn 180 degrees. The little tab in the bottom of the handle though will turn 360, we played with that with a screw driver, but we were not able to get it to lock.

I’m sorry it is 180. Not 360. I just went out and tried mine. On mine key pointing up is unlocked. Key pointing down is locked

are you fully shutting it ? On mine if it’s not closed fully. It won’t lock
