Questionable 304, Trans & T-case

Hi guys! I'm selling the 304, transmission and transfer case from my '73 Scout II. It's all coming out of the truck this weekend, so I'll be able to get some more details about everything, numbers etc. At that time. Might be good stuff for rebuilding? I don't know.

Engine:
I'm not sure what condition it's in, really. I only drove the truck once before we parked it, and at that time there was a knocking at #5 that stopped when you pulled the plug wire. It seemed to idle kind of rough, the carb looks like it could use a cleaning. I changed the oil when I first got it, and it looked old but ok. Then when we decided to pull the engine we drained the oil again (brand new :| ) and it had coolant in it. Prior to that I May or May not have had the valve cover off and accidentally left a heater hose dangling over it for about a week. :nono: so honestly it was probably my fault but I can't say for certain.

Engine will not come with the starter, fuel pump, spark plug wires as I bought those new and think I can use them on the next engine.

Transmission (automatic):
same story, not sure of the condition. When I drove it, I had to hold the brakes down good when I switched from park to reverse or drive, as it wanted to take off without me. I don't know if that's a transmission thing? Leaks a whole lot. T-case is also gunky, the whole underside of the trans tunnel is covered in about 1/4" of junk.

If you're interested in some of the parts, or everything, let me know what you need and we can work out a price! I need to clear some space so I'd like to just get rid of it all. I'd rather pass it on for cheap to somebody who can use it than scrap it :/

I'm located in riverside county, CA, near menifee. I don't have a truck, so if you're local you'd need to pick it up.
