1977 Scout ss2...the old m/c was leaking out the rear seal so I ordered up a brand new one from IH only...after install the pedal goes all the way to nearly the floor..is it possible for a new m/c to collapse the old brake lines?...my bleeders were plugged so I cleaned them..is it possible the old bleeders are just plain shot?..my brake pads and rotors are nearly new so I am thinking the new m/c May be pushing enuff volume to collapse the original brake lines?..I dunno..this has me stumped..ive bleed plenty of brakes and this issue has my stumped..any ideas

ps: is it possible I have a defective m/c?..I know doubtful but has anybody had to send there's back in?

Ps: ok I wasted jeffs time yesterday on the phone (castor shim) due to my old brain thinking siesta..today I damn forgot about the bypass valve..needed wifey so now I have to mow the lawn..brakes be real good now..even better when I spend the coin for stainless steel lines (gotta have Christmas money for that though)

I have the exact same issue, how do you go about utilizing the bypass valve? Shadetree mechanic here, new mc on a '73 with disk front, drum rears. Thanks guys.
