What is the shortest time of sitting you would allow without pulling the dizzy and priming the oil pump?

I'd say a nominal 60>90 days.

You can do the same simply by having a strong, hot battery and pulling the coil wire to prevent ignition firing. Crank it over for fifteen>thirty seconds and let it sit three minutes between attempts while watching the oil pressure reading come up.
