priming the oil pump and lube system

I have seen references on many occasions to a michael mayben thread on priming the oil pump and the lubrication system. I have tried searching until I feel like john wayne in "the searchers" but I cannot find that thread. Would some kind soul tell me how to pull it up? Thanks, pineneedle

Go to " gas engine tech ", then to the thread that say's " cam & engine rebuild choices ". Go to the last page an read it, good post by eagle Mark. Start there an work your way thru the pages to the 1 st page, read all of them....then go to the " sv & 4 cylinder oiling diagrams " thread by Robert kenney , read all of them.thats where you will find a oiling diagram. Jeff

This thread has the pdf Mike made for pre-oiling instructions. It doesn't have the pictures though. The thread itself is pretty in depth.

Thanks for the responses. I must be a pretty dim bulb because I cannot find the thread that you mention, Jeff. I have gone through the "gas engine tech" backwards and forwards. Of course, this is going to lead to perrsonal embarrassment when I find out that it is sitting right there in front of me. Sigh. Pineneedle
