thinking about how to make my '79 sII a little more winter friendly. i'm in truckee, not so concerned about winter driving, more about comfort and easy starting. gotten used to modern cars with fuel injection, seat warmers and warm cabins.
i'm not proposing the creature comforts of a modern vehicle, just how to make it a bit more comfortable. my top is insulated on the ceiling. has anybody added insulation on the sides of the top?
i have a 195 t-stat and i have flushed the heater core. this summer, temp seemed to run with the gauge in the middle of the range. wondering if it will run warm enough to supply adequate heat to the cabin?
my 345 will remain carbed. is it worth considering a block heater? are they effective?
