power steering

I am putting a Scout II power steering gear on my Scout 800. When I got it back from the rebuilder I couldn't remember which of the ports is the low pressure side and which is the high pressure side. Maybe someone can tell me: as I stand on the driver's side, behind the gear, looking forward, the two ports are near the input shaft of the gear, side-by-side. Which is which?

The small port is for the return line and the big port is for the pressure hose.
