power steering shaft seal ??

iv developed a massive power steering leak from the pump out of the front shaft that the pully is on.
can that seal be accessed from the out side, as in not taking the whole pump apart and out of the reservoir ?

this is a picture of where my leak is coming from, this is not my pump, just a picture from the internet, i have fluid coming out of where i circled.

You don't have to take the canister off to replace the front seal. You will need a pulley remover/installer. Make sure there is no up/down play in the shaft. If there is, you will need a new pump. The shaft will have endplay, but should have no discernable slop.
