Congrats on the new purchase. Looks like a good foundation to stary with.
The steering box is one of the things on my to do list for my '72 ole yeller scout. The cheaper crapzone boxes are just that, cheap. 50-50 chance of getting a somewhat reliable gear box from any of those chain stores. Give the fine folks a call here at IH Parts America. They have several versions to choose from, depending on your overall goal with your newly acquired scout.
