overflowing master cylinder

Sooooooo. If you have read my previous brake forums you will know that I have a break issue. To narrow my new issue down, after replacing everything for the brakes, when I bleed the brakes the front reservoir fills up (the top is on the m/c while bleeding), fill up to the point were it pushes out from under the top. This occures with the system closed up and just pumping the brakes too.......front brakes work fine and fluid flow good while bleeding. Rear brakes appear to have little pressure (fluid not flowing freely), prob because it is all going to the front reservoir..........thanks again

I will purchase a brake bleeder kit as suggested in previous posts, I know this problem is not good and want it fixed prior to making the purchase. Maybe I should try another prop valve ?

You've got a bad master cyl. The seal between the rear and front halves of the mc is bad and the fluid is being pumped from one half to the other, it is not an uncommon failure.

Was it new or reman? I don't recommend reman units, in the rare instance they do happen to work correctly out of the box they usually don't last long.

I replaced the m/c, solved the overflowing issue ! Thanks!! I still can't get good pressure at the rear brakes. I cant determine if the proportioning valve is working...I read multiple previous posts. I did carefully take the valve apart, all springs and gaskets appeared to be in order. Front disk brakes bleed and operate without issue. Thanks for all the help
