Opinions, Please

I am currently working on Scout II axles for my 800a. I am interested in opinions about the best traction aids to use. I should tell you ahead of time that this is not a full out rock crawler. Instead, I am building a Scout that can be driven to Colorado and also off-road in Colorado, in other words, reasonable capable off-road and useable on-road.

I have a cj3a Jeep with a Dana 44 and a powertrax in the rear. My impression of the powertrax is very positive. I have done some really tough trails in the cj, driven 20,000 on-road miles, and nary a problem. I am thinking of putting one in my Scout. I like the fact that it works well on the trail but also has great on-road manners. I also have a freshly rebuilt powerlock as well that could go either in the rear or in the front.

So, anyone with some experience or just an opinion, tell me what you think.

Install the powertrax in the rear and powrlok in the front. Should be a very good setup that will wheel good without the extra stree of a true locker in the front axle.
