Nice idea! Far more effective than the oem "swing-down" spare mount and it won't eat the tailgate either!
Can ya mount it on the front and use the winch to raise and lower? Then ya can go cruuze ujozze and skewer sum prius and other throwaway battery paks.
With sum turnin' blocks ya kin remote control both front and rear skewers!
