Hi,
quick question on rebuilding my oil pump. This is out of my 73 Scout with 345.
Can some let me know witch gasket goes on first and in what order or help me find a thread to help me rebuild my oil pump? Thanks again for all the help.

Various gaskets are used to determine the "thickness" of the end gap between the two gears and the plate itself.

The body-to end gear clearance is a minimum of 0.0015">0.006"

the body-to-gear clearance is 0.0007">0.0027".

The pump shaft diameter is 0.4885">0.4890".

The main shaft clearance in the body is 0.001">0.0025".

The maximum "backlash" between the two gears is 0.0107"

the idler shaft diameter is 0.4845">0.4855".

Idler gear clearance is 0.0015">0.004".

The "free length" of the idler pressure regulator spring is 2.250".
