NP205 truck linkage

I have a 1972 IH 1110 4x4 truck that is a manual 4 speed and would like to convert it to an auto. I don't have the auto brackets and have no idea what to even look for.

Does anyone have an image or drawing of what I would need to install the linkage with an automatic 727 tf?

The shifter arm bracket now mounts to the side of the 4 speed and it doesn't look anywhere close to working.

Thanks

I have an auto in my Scout with a NP205. But I had to make some custom shifter linkage. I just used the stock shifter with some 3/8 all thread and some rod ends to connect the shifter to the t-case.

The pivot point for the shifter will take some thinking and some test fitting. Your setup is different from mine as I have a 4x4 727 vs a 4x2 version used with a divorced t-case. You could build off the current crossmember or even add a second one if needed. I used a piece of 1x2x.120 about 8" long to come off the crossmember mount as I needed to keep shift linkage level.
You will have to just put some stuff together and see how it moves. I'm having to add some supports to keep the pivot point from moving around too much

I was lucky enough to have another d-series truck owner stop by so I could check out their setup. I know where everything is supposed to mount now and if I can't find oem brackets, I think they will be easy enough to make.

I might look into using the rod ends like you show for the rod itself.

Post a picture if you find one.

Ip parts america could have one too, but you would have to call for that.

I'm interested is how the IH engineers mounted it.

Thanks
