Not pulling fuel from the tank

Good evening gentlemen... and lady's. So I had to remove my passenger side fuel tank on my 67 Travelall 2 wheel drive with a 304. It originally had multiple tanks but I'm only running the passenger side tank...at this time. I did the repairs and replaced it and I'm unable to get gas to the engine. So when I got this rig it had a 5 gal fuel can upfront with a hose running to the fuel filter.... that how they were feeding her. So with that original fuel tank, am I supposed to cap or plug any of the original stems that are no longer in use because I'm only running the solo tank? Thank you gentlemen

The "clean" way to do it is to plumb the tank directly to the fuel pump inlet. Lots of hoses and connections mean lots of places to leak air and not be able to draw fuel out of the tank. Also pull the tank pickup tube and see if it is plugged and if there any pin holes in the suction tube or if the filter sock is plugged.
Just had a similar problem with the passenger tank on my T'ette. It would pull fuel, but not empty the tank. I found the hose connection to the loose.

Should I put the fuel filter on after the fuel pump between the pump and the carburetor and just run a straight shot from the tank to the fuel pump? Also, because I'm running the original passenger side fuel tank only , do I need to "cork" any of the original outlets that ran to the other 2 fuel tanks ( rear &driver side) ? Thank you again for your help and support 🙏
