Next NorCal Scout Run?

Looks like some snow fell up at iron mountain. Also heard strawberry trail got some snow too. I know the next few weeks are busy, with the holidays and all, how about the weekend after new years? Or is that the weekend everyone is getting together to work on jh's son's Scout? Post up what weekends work.

Hopefully soon! I dropped my Scout off over at Mike's yesterday to get the quarter panel fixed so I'm definetely not wheeling until I get my ride back.

Of course I could always take the 392 powered Scout that I have for sale.:winky:

How about this weekend, Sunday the 13th? I spoke to Jeff a couple days ago and he might be able to make it as well, but it depends on his truck.

I went up to ice house reservoir (5500') on new year's day and found about a foot of snow, but the road was plowed. The road to wright lake was unplowed so I gave that a try and after about 2 miles in the snow got about 3' deep. At 2 1/2 miles in I came across a group of jeepers who were trying to dig out a fj60. They could not get the thing past one hill so we all had to turn around. I don't know what the conditions are like now with all the recent snow, but starting anywhere at around 5000' might be the way to go.

So I am in, just let me know by Friday, Jesse

I'm pointing more towards Sunday. I'd like to go to either china wall above forest hill or Matt mentioned the winterfest over at greenhorn creek but I doubt we'll see snow there.

Tmorrow I plan on working on my Scout in order to be ready for Sunday. Meet at my place Sunday between 8:00-8:30 so we can leave no later than 9:00. Plan is to head to china wall for a few hours so bring a lunch.

Have fun guys. Tomorrow I'll be prepping my acura to replace the clutch and then gonna try to log some data on the Scout.

Here are the pictures!

It didn't take long before we ran into others a little stuck on the trail.

I got as far as I could when I turned the lead over to Matt. He was able to make it further down the trail until his progress finally stopped.
