The fourth of July falls on a Thursday this year, so sat and sun the 6th and 7th are probably no good for most of us.
That leaves the 13th and 14th, 20th and 21st or the 27th and 28th weekends.
For now, I am free all three weekends.

Well the 12th is my birthday spo I vote for 13th and 14th. That way it's soon enough everyone can still bring presents.

Thanks for the info on the military vehicle technology foundation.

Proposed dates are july7 or 21. Both are sundays as that is the day they are open.

Location portola valley.

Time: tour starts at 10am, lasts 2 hours and they want us out at tour's end

fee: $20 for adults, $10 for teens and seniors over 65

meet: at the diner for the east bay folks and at my office in san bruno for the peninsula and city. Perhaps a third location in san jose if there is enough interest.

Note: pre registration is mandatory. If I don't have you on the list: no admittance. So, register with me at dfsdc@pacbell.net. If you have to cancel, so be it, but register!

There is no place else in the usa to see so many tanks and other militaria. The sounds for "band of brothers" and "saving private ryan" and others were recorded here. Admission used to be by invitation only but since the mvtf is in charge, public admission is available with restrictions.

This is a 2 hours of walking tour. Toddlers and infants are not welcome and young children must be carefully supervised. Climbing on equipment is prohibited and we can all be evicted if it happens. Military museum; military parameters.

I have wanted to see this for years so I am excited!

I won't be able to make it.

But if any one wants to do an IH work day or bbq, I'm open for any time on the weekends. We just need to finger out a date.

So anybody showing up tonight? Off road magazine guys have taken control of hollister for the week so be forwarned. Not supposed to be able to get in. Went yesterday so rosita could learn how to drive a stick shift. Lady at office told us we couldn't get into upper ranch so were driving around bike campsites and ran into some park guys in a truck who told us we could probably talk our way in if we went to area 5 - and low and behold we got in. Some pics of a nice Scout.
