Newbie looking for some starter help!!

I have just purchased a 68 Scout. I don't know any of the particulars other than it's 4wd & has a 4 cylinder. I believe it has a 3 speed manual trany. I need to know where to look on the engine, trans, axels, etc... To know what replacement parts to start shopping for. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!!

Have to assume it is as the factory made it..
There is a pad on the drivers side front engine around the engine mounting bracket. Probably need to scrape the crud off of it... Axles usually had tags or stampings on them. Hard to say for sure where they are now...
Best way it to post up some pictures and order a line setting ticket from IHPA.
