New ralley games

Here's a couple of ideas for new games that seemed to gain traction at the October meeting.

1. Winch racing: pull your truck 25' - 50' using your winch. Dead engine, no recharging. Fastest time wins. We might need a fresh battery at the finish line to jump start the contestants. Trucks with pto winches need not apply?

2. Barrel racing: push a plastic barrel 100' with your bumper. Stock trucks would likely have an advantage over the lifted monsters. Run over the barrel and be disqualified?

Any more ideas? Feedback?

Marty…list the choices from the other night

winch racing
• tie off on one of the trees at the creek? Near the rockpile.
• tie off on the lfr dulldozer.
• since this event is for the offroad trucks, how can it be made more “rescue” related?

Barrel racing
• barrel will get squished pretty quick.
• I thought about a 4’ diameter inflatable ball. Think soccer; score a goal. The ball will have the same fate as the barrel.

all the stuff we do is single truck oriented.
Think about using 2 trucks as either individuals or a team.

Here's a couple rough cuts for ya. I think the dynamic duo has a lot of potential to it.

dynamic duo
• object: see how far 2 trucks can travel, and harmonize, before a 16’ board suspended between the two hoods, falls off.
• spotter informs the driver if he touches the line with his front tire. Spotter will raise a flag during the tire infringement. Getting flagged for touching the line is not so much a penalty, but more for information. But excessive flagging should get penalized.
• start / finish: 50-100’ course. 2 lines spaced 10’ apart at the beginning and expanding to 15’ at the finish.
• best score: distance traveled.
• use the most uneven part of the field.

Need to buy:
• some kind of cross bar/board that can breakdown into 2-3 pieces for storage.
• 2 orange flags

To step this up a notch:
• 2 teams can compete against one another in a “potato sack race” format. First team to drop the board, loses.
• possible bracket elimination?

pitcher of water
• object: driver holds a pitcher of water outside the window while driving. Most amount of water remaining in a pitcher at the finish line, wins.
• a combination of slow times, but water volume at the finish wins this.
• start / finish: 100’ straight
• 2 trucks; side by side
• 20’ of space between lanes
• use the most uneven part of the field.
• bracket elimination to determine winner

need to buy:
• plastic pitchers

[u ] broom ball [/u ]
• object: driver holding a household broom with his left hand, dribbles a nurf soccer ball 100’ to score a goal .
• best score: low time . scoring goal gives bonus points .
• make a goal out of pvc pipe

need to buy:
• pvc
• nurf soccer ball or a 10” round foam ball .
• house brooms
