After a long search, I finally found a suitable C900 for this project. I pick it up next week. Purchased a totaled 2006 Trailblazer with the Vortec 4200 I6 and 4x4. I was high bid on a Copart auction @ $625 and by the time it's delivered the cost was $2200. But it only has 114k miles and black leather power seats so it should provide most of what's needed for the conversion. The goal is a practical daily driver. Pictures coming.

Look what followed me home yesterday.

The biggest issue is a rusted cowl. Anyone seen a good resto this. It has almost 100k so unless the engine was rebuilt, I'm sure it is tired.
It is going to ride on this

The TB runs great and has no check engine lights, so I'm not dealing with someone else'es problems. If anyone knows about custom programming BCM's (body control modules) I'm all ears.

Had some time the other day and got the 152 running.

But first I had to make it a roller, finding 15" tires is not easy these days. I ended up with used trailer tires in 225/75-15. Installed 6he tired with my new manual tire machine. It works good.

No big surprises getting the engine running a little oil in each spark plug hole and some 2 cycle fuel down the carb and she fired right off. At first it was running on 3 and popping out the carb. A shot of Marvel Mystery oil in the nurse tank and it cleaned right up. Looks like the head was rebuilt jn the not to distant past as I'm seeing fresh red paint. No smoke either.

I am surprised to find 3.73 gears in the d44, bet it was a dog in the hills. Couldn't get it moving as both the brake and clutch pedals are locked up solid. I'll be looking to sell the chassis and running gear soon if anyone is interested.
