New lifter diameter

I've got the 345 out of my scout tore down chasing valve train problems. I have between .0042" and .0051 clearance between the lifters and there bores. What does diameter of a new Johnson lifter measure and what should my lifter bores measure. They are at 1.0002 on average.
 
Hi,

The lifters are made to be an exact factory replacement from OEM specifications. The service manual talks about this in the engine section. Oversized lifters are not available.
