Got her home with only minor issues. It seems there are major flat spots in the front tires and will start bouncing above 30 mph. Replaced the cheesy plastic oil pressure line and it has 50 psi at idle. There's no smoke on startup.
Way cool. I remember our neighbor had on of those dump trucks. That along with my dads track hoe working together they would get stuff done. I loved bouncing around in that thing when I was a small tike.
I like the looks of that vintage loadstar too. The plans are to use it for building roads and transporting fire wood around the ranch. It even came with a full tank of gas. Looks like it was formerly a berkley dot truck. Only 77k miles on it. Anyone know where I could find a new piece of glass for the passenger vent window?
Unfortunately it does have the cowl rot these bodies are known for. The plan is to use fibreglass to fix those areas under the hood.
