I have a 72 t'all and my rear window motor failed. Opened it up and the section that the brushes ride on is toast as well as the brush plate is broken. Where can I find one or parts for one, its the 3 wire. Thanks for all the help.

I bought this t'all at the CA/mex border it sat for 15 years in a garage put good used tires on it and a edelbrock carb, with a new batt and made the drive home to san jose.

Glad you made it home.

I would take some pictures and post them. I find pictures help people to see what your seeing. As for oem parts, I would call ihon, maybe they have a used motor?

I check the picknpull website and no t-all in stock.
You might be stuck with fixing what you have, or retrofixing a motor out of a wagon to work..

If you don't mind spending a few bucks, there's a guy that will rebuild your motor. Look in the back of hemmings motor news. I looked at having a wiper motor done and it was like $150

I check the picknpull website and no t-all in stock.

They are awful on updating their website (for internationals at least). I went to newark 2 weeks ago and they had two 70-75 IH pickups but neither was on the website. They seem to get a Travelall in there once or twice a year, but I don't think I have seen them listed.

Good to know in the website stuff is not always updated on time.

I know that power windows suck up a ton of power, I would also check that dash switch. I've had to take old switches apart and clean and lube them.

Another option is a add a manual crank. :icon_eh:

Thanks for all the help. The window worked great and one day I smelt burning plastic. I opened liftgate and found the wires in plug housing shorted which melted my motor. I took motor apart and found bad everything. Was going to go manual but I dont wanna have to crawl in back to lower window. My dash switch doesnt work but I have to pull to check power to it and make sure wires are not pinched. After all this is done I m gonna look in a disc conversion for the solid 2wd axle in front.

Thanks for all the help, I was able to find a interchange motor very easily. Believe it or not it was a very common motor back in the day. All I had to do was knock bolts out of the new motor and install the upper alum cage onto the new used motor and vroom it goes up and down faste than it ever did before. The only mod I did was weld a washer on the regulator to help keep the drive gear centered. I dont know if there was ever a centering bushing of some sort for the gear that turns the regulator from the motor.
